The Great Archive

A living record, still being written.

The Codex Naturalis Khassidia is the great natural archive of Khassid: a continually expanding record of the creatures, peoples, anomalies, constructed beings, spirits, and other forms of existence found throughout the world.

Compiled as part of the broader work of the Khassid Concordia Naturalis, the Codex represents generations of observation, field study, recovered testimony, regional scholarship, and taxonomical debate.

Its purpose is not simply to catalogue creatures. It seeks to understand what they are, how they came to exist, how they interact with the world, and what their presence reveals about Khassid itself.

“We do not name these things to conquer them — but to remember what they are, and what they might yet become.” — Loremaster Oris Khael, Eastern Bloom Delegate to the Aelorian Archives

Ten volumes currently organize the Codex's scholarship. Each gathers related beings under a shared order of study; new volumes may be added as the Concordia Naturalis authenticates further classifications.
