Warning of Restricted Knowledge

The Aelorian Archives are charged with the preservation of knowledge, including knowledge that must not pass into common memory. The existence of this record within the Archives does not constitute authorization for its contents to be taught, repeated, summarized, copied, or transmitted beyond the limits established above.

Lawful consultation does not confer authority of dissemination. The prohibition upon disclosure remains binding upon deities and Exarchs alike. No divine, ecclesiastical, governmental, scholarly, or archival office may reproduce or reveal any portion of this record without authority sufficient to set aside the judgment under which its contents remain concealed.

Any unauthorized consultation, possession, recollection, transcription, or transmission of the contents herein—and any dissemination by an otherwise authorized reader—will draw the attention of Zaldris, God of Secrets, Forbidden Knowledge, and Hidden Truths.

Those without lawful standing are advised that discovery offers no protection, that knowledge received cannot be made harmless by ignorance of its significance, and that the Aelorian Archives possess neither the authority nor the means to stay whatever action Zaldris determines necessary to preserve the secret.

Before the World Broke

This restricted archive presents the surviving milestones of Khassid’s Pre-Cataclysm history: the awakening of the primordial powers, the emergence of mortal peoples, the rise of civilizations, the spread of magic, and the fractures that eventually led to the Cataclysm.

It also preserves a truth unknown to most mortals: many deities were not present from the beginning. They emerged when mortal belief gathered around a cosmic truth with enough strength, continuity, and cultural meaning to give it divine form. A god’s emergence did not create that truth, but gave it identity, will, and a place within the divine order.

The entries are grouped by historical era and arranged chronologically. They reflect Khassidian history across many peoples and cultures rather than the history of any single nation. Some places named here no longer exist, while other events survive only through sacred tradition, damaged records, or the collections of the Aelorian Archives.

This is not everything that happened.

It is what the world was able to keep—and what most of the world was never meant to know.

After the World Broke

This archive records the history of Khassid after the Cataclysm as understood from the perspective of the Morgdhavian Archipelago. It follows the islands’ recovery, rulers, conflicts, institutions, faiths, and encounters with the wider world as the Archipelago develops into its present form.

The entries are arranged chronologically but do not claim to represent the complete history of Post-Cataclysm Khassid. Other peoples and regions preserve their own records, and additional events will be entered into this timeline as reliable accounts are recovered, reconciled, and formally codified by the Archives.

Some events remain disputed, incomplete, or deliberately concealed. Even within the modern age, the record holds truths that most mortals were never meant to know.

This is the history of the world after it broke—seen first from the islands at its center.
